Vietnamese Civilians
Here are some civilians I got from Peter Pig. They're actually nicer than my crappy paintjob suggests...
2012-10-22
Vietnamese Civilians
The obligatory overhead view.
2012-10-22
Vietnamese Civilians
I got two packs, male and female civilians and mixed them on the bases. There's 3 or 4 poses per pack.
2012-10-22
Vietnamese Civilians
As you can see, it's getting hard to avoid repeated poses.
2012-10-22
Vietnamese Civilians
The poses could be a bit more dynamic, IMHO.
2012-10-29
The huts
Two more 15mm huts in the making. After googling for some pictures, I decided to make them same color all over -- that seems to be the way they really are.
2012-10-29
The huts
The finished huts. Not a whole lot of differenct to the washed ones...
2012-11-05
More Vietnamese
Here's the latest batch of civilians and VC reinforcements.
2012-11-05
More Vietnamese
I got some more AK guys to utilize my extra RPG guys I already have.
2012-11-05
More Vietnamese
There's also a healthy number of casualty figures, these are required for the Peter Pig rules.
2012-11-05
More Vietnamese
I washed the white clothes with gray this time, much less dirty look.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
Some reinforcements for my VC. I used the leftover RPGs and added some riflemen from Peter Pig.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
The Peter Pig figures are noticeably smaller -- but can you spot them here?
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
The obligatory overhead view.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
Originally I used the kosher basing with the RPG teams, but they are irritatingly difficult to spot in the field so for the new set I put just three figures on a base.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
Some more civilians. These are really for the Peter Pig Men Of Company B rules.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
Porters. Again, Peter Pig rules let VC use porters.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
I should have gotten more standing peasents to mix with these sitting ones.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
An ox cart.
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
King of the Jungle.
2012-11-14
Another Rumble in the Jungle
The countryside is tranquil...
2012-11-14
New Vietnamese
I really should have given these guys more attention. Unfortunately, that's the problem with 15mm IMHO. When you're doing them, you're doing a hundred of them at one which is fine for rank and file, but quite frankly I just don't have the energy to give the special figures the attention they'd deserve.

2012-11-14
Another Rumble in the Jungle
Another ambush in the works.
2012-11-14
Another Rumble in the Jungle
An almost successful assault. Unfortunately, the American firepower prevailed yet again.
2012-11-21
Rebasing
I decided to partly rebase my RPG groups to make them easier to tell apart.
2012-11-22
Patrol in the Jungle
The Americans stepped into a hornet's nest.

ZPU-1 offers some much needed AA capability.
2012-12-20
VC Heavy Support
I built some extra LMG bases while I was at it. The figures are actually mostly from the AK-47 range.
2012-12-20
VC Heavy Support
Heavy recoilless rifles. Peter Pig doesn't have the 82mm model so I got the bigger 105mm ones instead. At least they are easily distinguishable from the light 75mm models.
2012-12-20
VC Heavy Support
Another view of the AA guns.

VC Heavy Support
El Presidente's car, before and after the coup. This is not really VC, but it was so nice I had to get it anyway.
2013-01-09
VC Commander
We had a test game of Cold War Commander. Here the American flank advances.
2013-01-09
VC Commander
I made 2000-point forces for the game. It gets a bit crowded on a 4x6 table with 15mm figures.
2013-01-09
VC Commander
The NVA armored fist is right up there. NVA game plan was quite hampered by the lousy commanders they have, I guess I have to fork out for the command upgrade next time.
2013-01-09
VC Commander
VC sneaking into the bush. The infantry is really slow in this game...
2013-01-09
VC Commander
The Americans chose to maintain a defensive line for the most part.

They who run away live to go home without a box. And win the game, incidentally.
