	Russian tanks An SU-100. I did some minor touchup with these, but I tried to keep it minimal. Basically, it's a light grey drybrush all over, dark brown/grey paint on the running wheels and a few details picked out in black, plus a matt coat which helps a lot in killing the toylike glare.

	Russian invasion More Russians invade. The uniforms are done in two different shades of brownish, but you can't really tell after the shade has been applied...
	Russian invasion I basically dipped these. Just blocked in the basic colors and slapped on some Vallejo sepia shade. No attempt to paint eyes or most of the other small details. For the Russian color scheme it works reasonably well. Not too convinced it'd work for bright Napoleonic uniforms or even the ubiquitous ancient off-white linen.

	Russian invasion Hmmm... who is this guy aiming at? Most of the figures are Black Tree, but this guy is a sample from Bolt Action. Very nice minis, but I never ended up getting more because I already had too many queued up.
	Russian invasion I have two Maxim teams. One is shooting and this one is moving. This might be useful in games where setting up a HMG actually takes time.

	More Russians I got some riflemen from The Assault Group to bring my rifle platoon up to strength without resorting to NKVD for reinforcements.
	More Russians These are pretty nice figures, but personally I like my Black Tree figs better.

	More Russians These were basically just dipped. This is most evident on the bayonets, which are maybe a tad too rusty looking.
	More Russians There's really only four poses with two headgear variations, but for bulk troops they are ok.
	Mr. Russia Competition Old skool Black Tree Russian I did years ago. This is the way I used to do basically every mini. Each color is washed and highlighted separately, the eyes and other small details are done even if not in too great detail. This level of detail takes me about an hour per figure done on batches of about 10 minis. The brown boots are probably incorrect, but there was huge variation in Russian equipment anyways and they could be civilian items.

	Mr. Russia Competition And here are the three contestants. On the left, Assault Group quickie, in the middle Black Tree quickie and on the right and old skool Black Tree model, all in glorious 28mm.
	Mr. Russia Competition Closeup of the Assault Group mini. They actually come with bayonets attached, which is period accurate (the Russians gave bayonets to basically everybody, but very few scabbards or frogs), but unfortunately this guy lost his already in the blister.

	Die Amerikaner sind gefinished! Here's the remaining yankee platoon. I got some jeeps for a recon platoon but then I found out you can't actually field them without the troop stands so I got these guys to fill out my force.

What they don't come with is extra bases, so these guys were leftovers from my German Test Platoon. Until I just bought some extra bases...

Most likely rank and file wouldn't have had caps, but since these figures came with them (which does set them nicely apart from the normal sloggers) I decided to paint them khaki with red band.

	Field Gun It's a gun! It's actually a Russian 3 inch field gun, but as a 1/35 kit it's somewhat overscale. However, I think it'll stand reasonably as a heavier gun, 4 inch or maybe even 6 inch piece.
	Field Gun I thought this would be a simple kit to build, but I was mistaken. It has lots of etched detail parts, most of which I ended up leaving off.

	Trucking Along I painted up some transport for my 15mm armies. These are all WWII trucks, but they're mostly generic enough to be usable in Vietnam or even modern games.

	Trucking Along These are British Matador trucks from Zvezda. They're really a bit too flimsy for gaming use. I had to pour piles of glue on the undercarriage to stiffen it up a bit.
