Full Thrust
My failed attempt to create miniature gaming space in my previous apartment.
Don't fool yourself. Buy a house with a proper game room.
Full Thrust
Note the counters. This was also an attempt to use the FT vector system. I did not particularly like it, for reasons I'm planning to unveil in an article.
Full Thrust
Some of the figures are official GZG, some are old GW ships.

I think the bottle top IS meant to be there. Also note the Space Marine infantry standing in for fighters.

Aargh! I'm going to fall off the edge of space!

Btw: I hate those lassos too.

No, the bag of chips is NOT a game marker.

Full Thrust
For some reason, every game we play tends to disintegrate into a closeup brawl.

Full Thrust
The roll was so good I decided to take a photo of it, but unfortunately you can't really see what the dice read...
Full Thrust
No, it's not really this neat. This is a parade shot.

Full Thrust
Doesn't look to fair to me. Might a campaign we tried (it sucked).
Full Thrust
Looks like a vector game.
Full Thrust
I think this is also from the campaign games.
Full Thrust
Full Thrust
For once, I'd like too see a campaign, where it DID NOT make sense to
a) buy all the heaviest stuff you can
(the ESU fleet in this example is composed entirely of scouts and battleships or heavier)
b) bunch up all your stuff for that "decisive battle edge"
Btw: The campaign in question was directly out of the More Thrust book. We al thought it sucked. Even the ESU players, who won it hands down.

Full Thrust
Another fleet lineup.

Full Thrust
Another pain-in-the-ass bunchup.

Lining up again.

Full Thrust
Jon's superdread models are nice, often the nicest in a range, but IMHO they're really too big for gaming.
Silent Death
These are from the original Silent Death. They changed the designs for the second edition - some for the better, some for the worse.
Silent Death
This is a Salamander. It reminds me more of a condor or something, though. I absolutely hate the new model, this is a much better design.
Silent Death
As you can guess, these are still from the tiger stripe phase.
Silent Death
And this one is called Pharsii II, I think. It's seriously off-scale, it's really one of the heaviest fighters in the game.
Silent Death
Another view of the Pharsii.
Starships
While not actually a game of Full Thrust, it looks very much like one...
Starships
Can you count how many starships are in this picture? Meteors don't count.
Starships
Old GW Spacefleet ships. These are officially troop transports, cargo ships and shield ships if I recall correctly. Small wonder they were the only ones left in the discount bin.
Starships
Niilo demanded have this picture taken.
Starships
A closer look at the old Spacefleet ships. Even though these ships were next to useless in the rules, they are rather nice models, actually.
Starships
Castellan shield ship, I think.
Starships
This is a troop transport from old Spacefleet range.
Starships
Originally, this was a cargo ship.
Starships
Another view of the old Spacefleet ships.
Starships
A pair of ESU ships from GZG.
Starships
An ESU fleet carrier.
Starships
An ESU battledreadnought.
Starships
A squadron of NAC ships from GZG.
Starships
I believe the small ones are frigates from the NAC range.
Starships
This must be a NAC destroyer.
Starships
I believe this is a NAC light cruiser. I chose this color scheme because I had too much Rotten Flesh left and couldn't think of another use for it.
Starships
A NAC battledreadnought from GZG. I actually liked the old asymmetrical setup more.
Starships
Another view of the NAC battledreadnought.
Starships
A NAC fleet carrier. This was a bitch to put together...
Starships
Top view of the NAC carrier. The colored stripe is a transfer from a long lost car kit.
Starships
This is built from a cheap Super Cobra kit and various bits box parts including conning tower parts from a Graf Spee and a Legioss missile launcher.
Starships
If this picture was sharper, you might actually how it doesn't really have any details.
Starships
This is a Gundam kit. A Gwazin from OYW era.
Starships
Another view of the Gwazin.
Starships
A Musai kit from Gundam painted in very unofficial colors (normally they're all dark green).
Starships
Side view of the Musai. The horns have broken off, as true experts can immediately tell. Unfortunately, these kits aren't really sturdy enough for gaming.
Starships
Ok, it's a Bird of Prey and a Ferengi Marauder I got from an Adversaries set. The Romulan Warbird which was the main feature in the box never got finished.
Starships
Closer view of the Bird of Prey. While ok, I wish I had painted it better and given the wings more detail.
Starships
Another view of the Bird of Prey.
Starships
I really don't know which way it should face... My knowledge of Star Trek, especially beyond TOS is extremely limited.
Starships
A couple of heavy conversions. One is based around a diecast Hind-D toy while the other one is pure bits box wonder.
Starships
But this one sports a decal from a Hind-D kit...
Starships
Closer view of the conversion wonder. This one got the smokestack from the Graf Spee.
Starships
This is converted from a Mk14 Bullock jetbike.
Starships
A Kra'Vak squadron ready to blow some humans to bits.
Starships
A small (frigate?) Kra'Vak ship from GZG.
Starships
A Kra'Vak destroyer, I think. Originally the KV were horribly overpowered RPG-style alien menace until Fleet Book 2 toned them down to reason.
Starships
Some sort of Kra'Vak cruiser from GZG.
Starships
A slightly bigger cruiser for the Kra'Vak.
Starships
The biggest Kra'Vak ship I've got, and in my opinion, about the largest playable size.
Starships
Scratch-built wonder. Made from LEGOs, a toothpaste cap and a small Titan part.
Starships
The gray color scheme is a bit dull, though.
Starships
The BattleTech fighters, again from a discount bin. They're not the same thing! The little one is a Liao Thrush and the slightly bigger one is a Kurita model, if memory serves me right.
Starships
Apart from these guys, I also have a half-built Chippewa stuck around somewhere...
Starships
Silent Death ships, old skool. These are from the time the game still had Metal Express as a subtitle.
Starships
Revenge from the Silent Death line. I really like the look of it, but it's very boring in the game - a pure torpedo delivery platform and that's it.
Starships
Two Pit Vipers in the foreground and two Teal Hawks in the back. The one thing common with both designs is that they're both very fast and they're both next to useless in a fight.
Starships
The real powerhouse of the game, Night Hawk. Undercosted and sporting very lethal weaponry. Curiously, in all the example scenarios the Night Hawk pilots have lowest possible gunnery scores...
Starships
Thunderbirds from Silent Death. Another less than optimal design.
Starships
Two Talon fighters from Silent Death. I got these later than most of the ships, that's why the shade of red is wrong.
Starships
Epping gunboat, the only gunboat design in the original game.
Starships
Another view of the red Epping.
Starships
The tiger squadron. This happened to be my tiger stripe period.
Starships
Salamanders from Silent Death, I think. I like this design, and it's relatively ok in the game too.
Starships
Pharsii II. Out of scale compared to the rest of the ships, it's supposed to be just about the heaviest fighter money can buy... Note the small color variations - you can tell the units apart, just not very quickly.
Starships
I forget what this model is called, but it's the KV-1 of Silent Death - overarmored, undergunned and butt-ugly.
Starships
Tiger squadron Epping.
Starships
Another view of the Epping.
Starships
Another nice looking Silent Death design, Sorensen III. And yet again, crappy stats.
Starships
Black squadron Silent Death ships.
Starships
Another Night Hawk.
Starships
Another of these lumbering thingies... what was the name?
Starships
A Shryak shuttle from Silent Death. Somewhat capable of self defence, actually, with a quad-mount laser in a 360 turret.
Starships
A black Epping.
Starships
Some Spirit Riders from Silent Death. It's actually a very good light fighter - I just never liked the model that much.
Starships
A close look at a Spirit Rider.
Starships
I really don't like these... especially the horrible paintjobs. I think these were among the first Silent Death Minis I painted.
Starships
A couple of Pit Vipers escorting a pair of Shryak shuttles.
Starships
Pit Viper up close.
Starships
A Shryak shuttle.
Starships
Another Shryak shuttle. When I was into this game, I scoured the local shops and bought practically all the Silent Death minis they had.
Starships
The White Tigers. Actually, I was going for a zebra look, but it's more white tiger.
Starships
Another Salamander.
Starships
And a Thunderbird of the White Tigers.
Starships
Actually, I did not paint this bunch. When we were into Silent Death, I painted most of the stuff as usual. However, a friend of mine (who can actually paint) did a small number of them.
Starships
As these things go, the models found a new home in my collection.
Starships
Sigh... I wish I was half this good.
Starships
Well, not actually starships, but a lone beacon in an asteroid field. These are the original stands from Silent Death, and I hated them. So I bought the plastic flight stands instead and made these into asteroids.
Not Klingon Spaceships
Totally not Klingons.
Not Klingon Spaceships
The obligatory overhead view.
Not Klingon Spaceships
These are Kallistra models.
Not Klingon Spaceships
This is the fleet pack.
Altaran Spaceships
The Altaran ships.
Altaran Spaceships
The obligatory overhead view.
Altaran Spaceships
This is the fleet packs plus the baseship.
Altaran Spaceships
That's the baseship. I didn't like most of the base ships in the range, but this one looks good.
Altaran Spaceships
I added the white stripes to make them a bit more interesting.
Altaran Spaceships
The alloy is darn hard, though. Cleaning mold lines is a chore.
Terran spaceships
New terran ships.
Terran spaceships
I made them all white.
Terran spaceships
The obligatory overhead view.
Terran spaceships
These are from Kallistra.
Terran spaceships
Okay, it's not three colors...
