Samurai in vest
I struggled to come up with this color combination, but I'm pretty happy with the end result.

Red is definitely not one of the better colors in the Foundry palette, but this came out ok.

Clan Wars troopers
I basically painted these to see how fast I could paint them.

|
Clan Wars troopers
As Clan Wars is fantasy, so are these outfits. They are inspired by the real thing, but not quite it.

|
Clan Wars swordsman
This quilted armor really should be colorful, I tried painting it but the individual strings were just too much, so I repainted it all black...

Clan Wars swordsman
I gotta find a better way to do shiny swords. This looks pretty crappy.
|
|
Clan Wars archer
This armor doesn't have as much quilting, so it was actually easier to paint. I'm particularly happy with the blue on the pants.

Another bit of seashell.

Ronin with spear
Another Dixon samurai tries his luck. This figure comes with separate weapon, I chose yari.
|
|
Ronin with spear
The spearshaft is bent... proving that Dixon is still into the old style alloys.

|
Ronin with spear
Hmmm... the white paper background didn't quite work here.

The pants are done in Buff Leather I think and the shirt is Ochre - but you can't really see the difference in the photo. If you zoom in, you'll see how bad the cord on the spearshaft looks. I think a wash would have been better.

Samurai with sword
Note the shape of the blade. A Sakabatou?

|
Samurai with sword
I'm not happy with the pants, there's too much contrast between the shade and the highlight.

Samurai with sword
The back looks a bit better, IMHO.

Samurai with sword
That's a real seashell on the base. I collected this authentic sand from a beach in Tenerife and a few bits of shell were included.

Ok, he's got a sword too.
