10mm experiments
At this point I got confident enough to do some simple shield designs.

10mm experiments
A couple on Normans mixed in I think.

The thing I hate about these is the same I hate about crappy figures: It's sometimes impossible to tell whether the figure is supposed to have e.g. boots or pants. But then again in this scale is basically becomes how you paint it.

More dark age infantry. These would look better with more variety, but this assembly line painting is not really suited for that.

Kryomek
My Kryomek finally finished! I had these sitting on my desk for a very very long time. I really like the figures but for some reason I just couldn't find the inspiration to paint them.
Kryomek
The obligatory overhead view. I must say these are probably my most uninspired figures to date.
Kryomek
Some Alpha Hellions I think. Initially I thought about doing the same color scheme as with my tyranids, but these guys don't really have enough carapace for it.
Kryomek
More Alpha Hellions.
Kryomek
Hellions, I forget which type these are. Anyway, I like this worm type better than the puppy dog ones.
Kryomek
It's a real pity to see fine figures such as these so crappily painted. But at least they don't haunt my desk anymore.
10mm
I painted these to see if I could so 10mm at all. Thanks Chris for the figures.
Kryomek
More Hellions.

Kryomek
Warrior drone or somesuch. This figure is a bit hard to assemble.
Kryomek
I went for the universal color scheme as with my tyranids, but in retrospect it might have been better to paint the gun in a different color -- it's not really a part of the creature as it is with the 'nids.

Kryomek
Closeup of the warrior.

Carapace detail. The purple section is just an inkwash over the gray paint.

10mm
This particular set took about a year to complete.
10mm
Frankly, I have no idea which manufacturer's figures these are.
10mm
It's a mix of various dark age types.
10mm
This is from a newer set. I basically did these in an hour starting from black undercoat.
10mm
Though this is the second set of 10mm I've painted, there's already some improvement.
10mm
It takes a totally different mindset to paint these compared to doing 28mm figures.
10mm
Yes, Watson, these are dipped. While I'd never subject, well not normally anyway, 28mm figures to such a treatment, these puppies seem to be built for it. This is mahogany shade, a darker dip might work better.

10mm
The other new stip of 10mm figures.
