Originally I intended to time these to compare with my traditional methods, but then I forgot all about it... They also hit into a general slump of painting activity, so the numbers probably woundn't have been good anyway.

The shield designs are all hand-painted because my VVV decals wouldn't fit on these shields.

I painted the horses and the riders separately. The horses are actually dipped for the most part. This caused some problems in fitting because the celtic saddle limits shield positions.

The limitations of the Foundry basic palette become obvious when painting more figures. You basically have just one green, one red, one blue, one kinda yellow, black and white and the rest are shades of brown. I guess I gotta order some more. A darker blue would be nice for starters.
