The Audi is Hyundai too... well, this one really isn't. The basecoat on this one isn't actually paint but rather zinc spray. Gives an interesting texture, but it does not take washes well, which is why I ended up drybrushing the whole thing with regular silver paint.

Maybe it's his name...

TAG 28mm masked somali with some imports. The figure would fit quite well as a bank robber or some such...

Here's my VC infantry sorted by type. The Battlefront boxes come with a good amount of extra figures, just too bad they are useless extra figures. The box has the option to equip the company with B40 or B41 launchers, but you don't get enough riflemen to do both. Instead you get a shitload of map readers/REMFs and enough bugle players to start Hanoi Marching Brass Band.

Here they are stuck on bases. Managed to do a couple of extra observer bases (because I had bought a bunch of extra bases separately -- the box doesn't come with any).

Closeup of a rifle stand. Even though these are marketed as AK-47 stands, the armament is more 50/50 AK and SKS with a sprinkling of RPDs.

Here's a B41 (RPG-7) stand. Even though RPG series is commonly known for the brownish mid part of the tube, I found some photos of examples with dark green or black tubes. And these were from a museum in Vietnam, no less. Being slightly faster to paint had nothing to do with the choice, oh no...

Tomorrow, these guys are going to get some grass.

The leftovers. There's some RPG option guys and then the huge pile of bugle players and other useless dorks. There's something like 15 useless figures in each company box.

Cars
The reason I chose to paint these cars is that originally they were actually race cars and that means they were covered all over with stupid sponsor logos. Repainting was easier said than done, though. The logos were slightly raised so they showed through primer. Finally I had to actually sand them off. Maybe I should get sandblasting equipment... I already have a compressor anyway. Then I sprayed the base color (note to self: next time mask the wheels first), washed the cars with sepia and drybrushed with the original color. I chose to paint the windows black because I thought that would be less work than masking them properly.

The 850. Or maybe it's 840, who can tell with these things. The base coat is actually Porsche red, washed with sepia and drybrushed again with red.

M5 maybe. I chose blue for this because the typical beamer black is just so boring.
