Basing process
Step 1: Separate the figures by type. With typical 15mm ranges, you should have scads of duplicates.

Step 2: Assign the figures to bases, but do not glue them down yet.

Step 3: Glue in one row of figures. Leave the others out for now.

So the contents really are (somewhat) random. Now I have 5 of each and logically should be able to assemble 5 Balls too.

Step 4: Mark the position for the remaining figures, but do not glue them down yet.

Step 5: Spread basing compound in the space between the figures, then glue the remaining ones.
