These would complete my celtic army if hadn't bought a cavalry horde from Foudry...

The warrior queen herself. I painted her in the same color scheme as the foot version. Afterwards I noticed that this was supposed to be Boudicca and the foot version is actually Cartimandua. Oh, well...

Celtic chariots
Black Tree chariots in action. I actually ordered two heavy and two light chariots from them, but they sent me four heavy ones instead. The difference is minimal, but the identical crews get a bit boring.

The base is a mixture of static grass and coffee grounds.

A better view of the horses. I made a conscious effort to make the horses different and not the usual brown all over deal.

More horses. Two of the chariots were missing the yokes, so I made new ones from wire.

And the obligatory overhead view. These are based on 80x80mm bases. I was torn between that and Vis Bellica's 60x120mm, but went with this anyway. You could put a few chariot runners on the sides.

I like this result better than the last one, I think I'll paint a full brood in this color scheme.

I undercoated these with gray primer and put a dark gray wash directly over that, a speed up technique I've previously used with genestealers. After the wash is dry, pick out the plates in black and give it a light gray drybrush all over. Then just a little detailing and it's done. Very fast overall and fun to do.

The dots are actually rather easy to do because they don't have to be uniform.

And one from the rear quarter. It's not very evident in these pictures, but the join over the rear legs is the weak point of these figures. Leaves a horrid gap and should really be puttied.
