Pardulon Accessories

Pardulon is a German company doing resin terrain pieces. Instead of full houses and such most of their products is actually small accessories that can be sprinkled among the terrain or used in construction of scratch-built larger items.

Pardulon accessories You can never have too many barrels, especially exploding ones, so I ordered a few items from Pardulon as a tester.

Initial Impressions

The items are cast in light cream colored resin. For the most part the castings are very clean. The one notable exception were the concrete barriers. They seem to come out of a two-part mould and there was something of a mould line to clean. Nothing out of the ordinary.

There are some air bubbles in the bases, but these won't be visible in use anyway. I could not see any casting imperfections on the actually visible surfaces.

The barrels were a bit small compared to some other barrels on the market, but hey, barrels do come in multiple sizes.

In Use

Pardulon accessories The resin surface is pretty slick even after washing with detergent, make sure you prime these well before painting. Otherwise they are quick and simple to paint. The wood grain on the crates and such is deep enough to take washes well.

Verdict

These items provide excellent value for money. My favorites are the dumpsters and crate stacks. Getting a handful of them you can easily create a back lot or warehouse area with lots of maze-like cover to hide behind. They are large enough to be used as is.

And I definitely have to get more sofas and armchairs to try out some freehand patterns!
